  1. An easier way I came across – the I had the error after trying to install an update (of Affinity software) once I had downloaded it.

    I downloaded onto an Android machine (Nexus tablet) and then did a local copy onto my Windows PC. The update then installed perfectly.

    I can only assume that somehow the download straight onto a PC is getting scrambled.
